My plan was to buy bark nuggets to freshen the front yard up before Christmas. A few things here. First… is freshening up the front yard necessary for Christmas? No. Do I feel strongly that it must be done before good ol Saint Nick arrives with all his holiday cheer and presents? Yes. Why? Dunno. So Mother Nature decided that she was going to make it rain so hard that I wouldn’t be able to work in the yard. My back still hasn’t recovered from pruning all the plants last week, so shoveling nuggets would be foolish. OHHHH!!! IS THAT A CHALLENGE??? I accept! I am just one sneeze away from being stuck on the ground, but that won’t stop me.

First they betrayed his trust… then they betrayed his country.
Nicholas Sharp was the best of the elite. But after deliberately planted false intelligence caused him to shoot an innocent man, the US Marine sniper walked away.
Seeking refuge in the solace of his beloved piano, he’s moved on.
Until…
Suddenly, Sharp’s new world is blasted apart.
While he’s preparing to back well-known singer Robbie West on a USO tour of Iraq, a close friend and her daughter disappear.
Simultaneously, faces from Sharp’s troubled past re-emerge… and it’s no coincidence.
Enter the last man on the planet Sharp wants to see, his former superior officer, ex-Major Giles Winter. Winter and his colleagues are convinced that the failed Saddam regime had strategically secreted biological and chemical weapons well away from prying eyes, and they want to get their hands on them.
Sharp is dumbfounded. Everyone knew there were no WMDs in Iraq. But what if everyone was wrong?
In Winter’s eyes, Sharp’s involvement in the USO tour provides access and opportunity, the kidnapped mother and child, his motivation. Sharp is ordered to retrieve Saddam’s cache so Winter can auction it to the highest bidder.
But Nicholas Sharp gave up following orders long ago.
Trapped in a deadly maze of colliding worlds and dark agendas, Sharp is compelled to act. He knows there’ll be blood on his hands. It’s just a question of whose.
As tensions mount, his ‘would be’ masters raise the stakes, so Sharp forces their hand, defiantly stepping on stage in front of 75,000 fans.
However, somewhere in the crowd, a deadly assassin awaits.
One wrong decision, one misstep… and the consequences could be disastrous.

Little Boy Lost – the true story of one boy’s heartache and hope while coming of age in small-town Tennessee in the 1970s.
As the youngest of three sons and a bona fide momma’s boy, David Peters thinks that having a mother who spends months at a time in psychiatric hospitals is normal. Then on St. Patrick’s Day 1974, his world shatters when she commits suicide.
At the age of 13, he’s left struggling to make sense of his mother’s death while facing a host of new challenges: the father who has lost his business and checked out of society, the stepmother who despises him and his brothers, and watching his family slide from middle class comfort to living on food stamps.
Ultimately, he finds healing, thanks to the assortment of “surrogate” parents who take him in, his buddies, and baseball and basketball.
Through it all, David discovers that even in life’s darkest moments, if you look hard enough for the light, eventually the sun will rise again.
By sharing his story, David Peters hopes that Little Boy Lost will help readers gain an understanding of how to find hope and healing after family trauma from mental illness and suicide.
A powerful, heartwarming story of resilience in the face of terrible tragedy, Little Boy Lost is perfect for fans of memoirs like The Glass Castle by Jeannette Walls or A Hole in the World by Richard Rhodes.

That nation is Dacia, led by its young and brilliant military leader King Decebal. Decebal Triumphant is the story of the early days (85 – 99 A.D.) of the Roman – Dacian wars. It is told from the point of view of King Decebal and the Dacian people fighting for their freedom and survival, and also examines the intrigues of Emperor Domitian, a rising military star named Trajan, and the Roman nobility fighting for power.
