I have been avoiding my garden and plants so far this Fall/Winter, and it’s really throwing me off. My plan this winter was to leave a lot of the spent flowers for the birds and other wildlife. Usually I would clear it out and make plans for next Spring. It’s always been rather cathartic for me to do so, and when I am done, it feels like a chapter in my book has ended. When I do go out in the garden to clean the brown snowmen the pups make for me, it takes all I have to not grab gloves and a bucket and start ripping things up. I did cheat a week ago and raked up all the leaves that had fallen from the tree in the shade garden. Unfortunately the following day was so windy that not only did more leaves fall from my tree, but I also got a bunch from all the trees in the surrounding neighbor’s yards. I went nowhere fast on that one. If it’s not raining too hard today maybe I will allow myself to clear out some of the herbs such as the basil and sage. I have a few clippings of basil growing in jars inside and they have rooted nicely. Winter is a tricky time for me who has a very strong need to harass plants.

by Shemer Keydar

Our world’s eternal questions answered by the Kabbalah, modern physics and the astonishing resemblance between them.
During the 1920s, the world was changed forever when a new theory in physics — quantum theory — was developed. To this very day, this theory enables us to predict the behavior of physical bodies and explains many natural phenomena.
Decades later, Dr. Shemer Keydar embarked on the study of physics and found an amazing parallel between the theories he was learning and the principles of Kabbala and Hasidism. Principles such as the creation of the world from nothing, the unity found in nature, the development of mankind, and the power of the human intellect are all presented and illustrated through the light of quantum physics and Kabbalah.
Dr. Shemer (Shmariahu) Keydar, a highly respected researcher and the author of numerous scientific papers, has developed his interest in the relationship between Judaism and modern physics over the last two decades, and now invites you to join him on this special journey.
