I want it all, and I want it NOW!!! Quarantine has made me a little crazy. Everyday I go out into the garden to see what the plants are doing, but also to see what’s the latest and greatest with the various bugs. It’s fun to see one fat bumble bee in particular guard the clematis. He has determined it is his territory and no one else is allowed near it. He spends all day chasing bees, flies, and other flying bugs away. While that is going on up high (3 feet), below the lady bugs are enjoying the foxgloves. I find some sunning themselves on the huge green leaves, while others are racing up and down the flower stalks like cute little VW Bugs. Two days ago I saw the smallest ladybug I have ever seen in my entire life. It was FAST! Whoa! I also love watching a cute little black spider with a splash of red on her butt (not a black widow) spend all her time trying to catch flies that land on her little spot on a very leafy green shrub. She is quick, but most of the time misses her prey. Once in a while she does catch an unlucky fly, and she is set for the day. The same bugs in the same spot each day. So what am I complaining about? I want to add preying Mantis. Unfortunately I know the cute little manties will eat all the sweet bugs I have come to know. I can’t have it all. The flowers in the garden are wonderful, but the insects are just as amazing, and I don’t want to lose them.

A Deadly Drug Is Spreading Through America Like A Virus
Assistant United States Attorney Jeff Trask moves from Washington, D.C., to Kansas City, where he begins an investigation into an international drug ring smuggling the deadly combination of fentanyl and heroin from the southern border to the Eastern Seaboard.
When Jeff Trask Meets His Match, He Must Decide Whether To Uphold The Law Or Bring Down The Dangerous Kingpin
In this case, Trask is fighting a rival whose criminal genius rivals Trask’s own intellect, and–while Trask is bound by the legal code and his own set of morals–the mob boss on the other side of this battle is unencumbered by such restrictions. The investigation forces Trask to choose whether to operate within the legal system or to venture outside it in order to bring down the murderous kingpin. Marc Rainer again blends actual events from his career with a compelling plot line to add to a series of novels hailed by law enforcement professionals for their realism.

Colonel Sebastian Conrad is no longer the dashing cavalry officer Sylvia once fell in love with. Badly scarred during the Sepoy Rebellion, he has withdrawn to his estate in rural Hertfordshire where he lives in near complete seclusion. Brooding and tormented, he cares nothing for the earldom he has inherited–and even less for the faithless beauty who rejected him three years before.
A Second Chance
A week together in the remote Victorian countryside is the last thing either of them ever wanted. But when fate intervenes to reunite them, will a beastly earl and an impoverished beauty finally find their happily-ever-after? Or are some fairy-tale endings simply not meant to be?
