Hubby and I are trying out one of those adjustable beds. His sleep is terrible, so we are hoping this works. That is such an adult problem…being bad at sleeping. It should come naturally, since your body is designed to do that every night. Anyhoo… So there we were, feet up/ head up on our adjustable bed, so naturally we were watching Murder She Wrote on the Hallmark Channel. All I need now is The Clapper to turn my lights on and off and we would look exactly like any old couple from some 1983 commercial. So this is what I have turned into…geez. But this is not my point today. My point is why the heck did anyone EVER hang out around Jessica Fletcher. I have said it before, and I will say it again… SOMEONE IS GONNA DIE! She goes on vacation, DEATH! She visits one of her 153 nieces or nephews…DEATH! She goes to a church…ddeeeeaaaattthhh. She writes mystery books and everywhere she goes there is a murder. Umm…. Did it ever occur to her that she might be cursed? If I wrote murder mysteries, and everywhere I went someone is murdered…I WOULD STOP WRITING MURDER MYSTERIES!!! Lady..get a clue. Maybe write about world peace or finding homes for all the fuzzy critters that are in shelters. Not for sharks though… I still hate sharks. I know sharks don’t need homes, but I always like to mention my hatred of sharks. I actually might be on to something with the curse. She was involved in another curse with some beastly guy, a rose, a castle. That woman is bad news.

DISTURBING FAMILY SECRETS, A CURIOUS KIDNAPPING, AND COLD-BLOODED MURDER HAUNT THIS GRITTY AND MYSTERIOUS SOUTHERN DRAMA.
Sugar Hebert arrives home from a ten-minute errand to find her husband shot to death and the rest of her family missing — including her daughter Reed, heir apparent to the Hebert restaurant dynasty, and Reed’s eleven-month-old daughter.
Detective Skip Langdon’s hunt for a murderer and the missing Hebert heirs embraces worlds within worlds — splendid but dangerous Garden District digs, Faubourg Marigny drug dens, broken-down projects, lowdown bars, an elegant hangout for crooked politicos, and a dealer’s crib masquerading as a sultan’s palace, harem and all. A palm reader warns Langdon of danger, but it comes when she’s least prepared for it. Before long, the mob’s involved (maybe there’s a reason Hebert’s Restaurant won the lucrative casino contract), and so are family secrets so ugly they’d make Tennessee Williams wince. Everyone has them — the Heberts, the mob princess, even the crooked cop.
And Langdon finds she should have listened to the damned palm reader.
