I don’t really much care for the weather right now. I feel like it just keeps messing with my head. I look outside and it is sunny and bright, and calling for me to get out in the yard and do a little gardening. As soon as I step outside though, a massive cold breeze smacks me right in the face, laughs at me and sends me running back in the house. It’s so Lucy holding the football for Charlie Brown. I know I shouldn’t complain about the weather since a lot of you are battling fifty feet of snow, but I am from California and I am week. When I am working it is a different story. I have to haul a lot of food in and out of kitchens, so its usually a bit warmer… because it’s raining! I love moving all that food in the rain. I really love what a lot of rain does to a box of potatoes. The challenge and excitement of a soaking wet box that weighs 50 pounds is exhilarating. I was pretty proud of myself when I got all four boxes to their destination without losing one potato. I actually did a little dance. Go ahead and have your fun now weather. I will see you in the Spring!

Genre: Literature & Fiction

Inspired by real, hundred-year-old love letters.
My great-grandmother’s name is bold across the cream envelope, now golden at the seams with age. I can’t remember the last time I’ve seen graceful, purposeful handwriting with a fountain pen and not the hasty scrawl of ballpoint.
Alice Hirshhorn, Astoria Hotel, Seattle Washington.
“Letters to Great-grandma Alice,” I say with wonder, tracing my fingers over the faded postmark and foreign stamps.
December 1915. Philippine Islands.
I turn the thick envelope in my palm, slide out the tightly folded pages, and unfold the thin paper, taking care not to tear the letters that were important enough to keep for a century.
My dearest Alice
“Great-grandpa was in the Philippines?” I ask.
“Oh no. Not your great-grandfather,” answers Grammie, her eyes twinkling with her mother’s secrets. “Elliott.”
?~~~
At thirty-three and with her future unclear, Ali Waller finds her way home again. A box of long-forgotten love letters written to her great-grandmother holds the unlikely key to Ali finding her new path.
As she tracks down the letter writer and his descendants, Ali learns the magic of love, hope, and resilience.
Told by three characters, and across century and an ocean, Genealogy is an enchanting story about love and loss, taking chances, and embracing the surprises that life brings.

Undercover. Under fire. Under arrest. It’s hard to save a special agent’s life with your hands cuffed behind your back.
A USA TODAY BESTSELLING novel.
Anna walks into the house and is met with flashbang. The FBI have her cuffed and belted into the back of their car. Two FBI agents are escorting her and Johnathan over the mountains of West Virginia to Washington DC for interrogation.
They were never meant to get there alive.
Before the ambush, comes the fall. Flying off the side of the road, this is Anna’s chance to escape and survive. It would be so much easier without her special forces code – no man left behind. And in this case, it means saving the other lone survivor of the crash FBI Special Agent Steve Finley.
It’s a cross-country cat and mouse game while maintaining her undercover status.
It’s hard to explain why a criminal would go to such lengths for the guy who is determined to throw her behind bars. Anna might even welcome some food and rest in a federal jail cell if she can get out of the wilds alive.
