I told the elf to run for it before they get him. The panic in his eyes was all I needed to know that he knew he made a mistake. The thunder of their feet in the distance grew louder and louder. I warned him that my cookies were delicious but not worth getting caught by kids. He didn’t listen to me. I guess I should be flattered, but at this moment I just feared for his safety.
