I am always so late to the party. I am just now discovering the show Freaks and Geeks. I had never seen it before and I am mad nobody told me it was such an awesome show. What I am finding so funny is that the ones they called the geeks are all dorky and awkward, but if you look at them now, they have all grown to be very good looking adults. I was definitely a victim of the awkward age and I would like to say I grew out of it. Maybe I have, but my brain still sees me as the weirdo in Junior High. Thankfully I had a great group of friends that shared and even enjoyed that crazy age. I remember being afraid of growing up because I didn’t want to have to do adult things. Now as an adult I realize I am the boss of me and I can do kids stuff, like build Legos with my boys and watch DC and Marvel Comic movies. I have to adult a lot more than I would like, but now I can drive myself to the store and buy the toys my boys and I want to play with. Being an adult has its advantages.

P. A. Milko’s novel “A Fit for the Kings” is a realistic fictional novel based on the relationship between the King family and their long-term nanny Kam. A page turning dance between the familiar and fantastic, “A Fit for the Kings” is a story rich in wonder, and every day drama. Told in succession by five distinct characters, this novel is a romp through real life highlighting many of the struggles dual career families face today. False perceptions and hopeless misunderstandings quickly drive this novel down a dead end street. Thankfully, that is where all the answers are. “I read this poignant Five-Star narrative with a Kleenex in my grip. How I wanted to jump in-between the pages and ‘shake them all awake.’ The story, told successively by five distinct voices, proved just how remarkably different windows of perspective can be. Everyone was right in their own unique way, but everyone was hopelessly stuck looking in the wrong direction.”
